# Calling from the Reevo Mobile App

> Place recorded calls to Reevo contacts, phone contacts, or any number from the Reevo iOS app using a bridge call that rings your phone first.

Use the Reevo iOS app to call a Reevo contact, someone in your phone's contacts, or any number you type in. Reevo rings your own phone first; when you answer, it connects you to the person you dialed. The call is recorded and transcribed and shows up in Reevo like any other dialer call.

## Prerequisites

* The Reevo iOS app, version 0.0.18 or later. Update from the App Store if you don't see the call button.
* A Reevo phone number assigned to you. If you don't have one yet, the app prompts you to **Choose your Reevo number**, or you can set one up on the web in [**Dialer settings**](https://app.reevo.ai/settings/voice). See [Dialer](/Conversations/Dialer) for how numbers work.
* Your own mobile number saved on your Reevo profile. This is the phone Reevo rings first.
* Calling enabled for your organization. If the app says calling is not set up, ask your Reevo admin.

## How a bridge call works

Calls from the mobile app are bridge calls, not internet calls. They run over your normal phone line in **3 steps**:

### 1. Reevo calls you

After you tap **Start call**, Reevo rings your phone (the number on your Reevo profile) from your Reevo number.

### 2. You answer and press any key

Pick up the incoming call. When you hear the prompt, press any key on your keypad to continue.

### 3. Reevo dials the other person

Reevo places the call to the person you chose and connects you. Mute, speaker, and hang-up use your phone's normal call screen.

## Placing a call

1. Open the Reevo app and tap the **phone** button in the bottom bar.
2. Choose who to call:
   * **Contacts** tab: search your Reevo contacts by name. To include people from your phone's address book, tap **Search your phone contacts** and allow access when iOS asks. Results appear under a separate **Phone contacts** heading.
   * **Keypad** tab: type or paste a number.
3. Tap the phone icon next to a contact, or the call button on the keypad.
4. Review the confirmation card. It shows the last four digits of the phone Reevo will ring, so you can catch a wrong profile number before the call.
5. Tap **Start call**, then answer the incoming call and press any key.

<Tip>
**Calling someone from your phone contacts?** The first time you call a person who isn't in Reevo yet, Reevo adds them as a contact so the call is linked to their record. The confirmation card tells you before this happens.

## Settings

Tap the gear icon at the top right of the **Call** screen to update the phone number Reevo rings. Enter it with its country code (for example, `+1 415 555 0100`) so Reevo always dials the right phone.

| Setting | Where to change it |
| :- | :- |
| **Phone Reevo rings first** | Gear icon on the **Call** screen, or **Settings > Calling > Your phone** in the app. |
| **Your Reevo number** | **Settings > Calling > Reevo number** in the app, or [Dialer settings](https://app.reevo.ai/settings/voice) on the web. |
| **Caller ID the other person sees** | By default, your profile phone number. Turn on **Caller ID Display** in Dialer settings on the web to show your Reevo number instead. |
| **Call recording** | Set by your admin in organization dialer settings. Calls are recorded by default. |

## After the call

Each call is saved as a call recording with a transcript and AI summary, the same as calls placed from the web [Dialer](/Conversations/Dialer). It appears in your meetings list in the app once processing finishes, and on the contact's activity timeline in the web app. Summaries can take a few minutes to appear.
