# Before You Begin

> Before importing or migrating any data into Reevo, make sure your CRM configuration matches the structure of the data you plan to bring in. This ensures that every field maps correctly and no information is lost during import.

# CRM Configuration Requirements

Before you start:

* **Match your objects and fields**

Confirm that the CRM objects (e.g., Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities) you plan to import exist in your Reevo environment, and that their field names, data types, and custom fields align with your source data.
* **Set up custom fields, picklists, or pipeline stages**

If your data includes custom attributes, select-list values, or opportunity stages not currently in Reevo, create or update these under the relevant object in **Settings → CRM.**
* **Create any required custom objects**

If your data references objects not available by default (e.g., Partner Accounts, Implementations), create these before import.

**Note:** The data migration process via import CSV will attempt to identify and flag any missing configurations or mismatched fields but completing these steps beforehand will help ensure a smoother and more seamless process.
