# Import Via CSV

> Reevo’s CSV Import Flow supports importing standard objects (Accounts, Contacts, and Opportunities) as well as custom objects that are specific to your organization. You can also import the relationships and associations between records, for example, linking Contacts to Accounts or Opportunities to Accounts and Contacts.

  Before you start, make sure any custom fields or objects you plan to include are already configured in your workspace. During the import process, you’ll be able to handle data mapping, validation, and conflict resolution to ensure everything is formatted correctly and linked as expected.

### Basic Concepts & Terminology

| **Standard Relationships** | User-defined links between standard objects                                         |

| **Custom Objects**         | New, user-created objects beyond standard objects                                   |
| **Custom Relationships**   | User-defined links between standard and custom objects                              |
| **Conflict Resolution**    | Defines what happens when an imported record already exists (e.g., update vs. skip) |
| **Timezone Handling**      | Ensures timestamps in CSV files are normalized when timezone data is missing        |

### **Import Options**

* **Single-Object Import:** Use this when importing data for a single object (like **Accounts**). It’s best for simple datasets or when updating existing records. For Contacts or Opportunities, single imports may omit relational context unless you link them later.
* **Multi-Object Import:** Use this when your CSV includes **linked data across multiple objects** (e.g., Accounts + Contacts). Each row represents a tied association — related records are automatically connected during import. Ideal for first-time migrations or when relationships matter (e.g., Contact → Account, Opportunity → Account).

* Select **Imports** from the left sidebar
* Choose the object(s) to import and follow the guided steps

# Import CSV Overview

This short video walks you through how to import or migrate data into Reevo using a CSV file.

# Step-by-Step Guide

1. **Go to Settings → Imports**

   Navigate to your workspace settings and open the [**Imports**](https://app.reevo.ai/settings/imports) section under **Data Management**. Click **New Import** to begin.
2. **Select Objects to Import**

   Choose one or more objects to import. Multi-object imports automatically link related records per row, while single-object imports are better for updates or standalone data.
3. **Review Import Settings**

   Give your file a clear, descriptive name so you can easily identify it later in your **Import History**. Then select the correct **timezone** — any timestamps in your file without timezone data will default to this setting.
4. **Set Conflict Resolution**

   Choose how Reevo should handle records that already exist:

   * **Create new and update existing** – adds new records and updates matches.
   * **Create new only** – adds new records and skips existing ones.
5. **Map Fields**

   Complete field mappings by matching each CSV column to its corresponding field in Reevo. Required fields will be flagged if missing.
6. **Reuse Past Mappings (Optional)**

   If your file has the same structure as a previous import, apply those saved mappings to skip manual setup.
7. **Review & Submit**

   Double-check your settings and mappings, then submit the import. You can track progress and results anytime in **Import History**.
